I have understood that hiking is very popular in Mallorca and that there are plenty of excellent hiking trails on the island. It's foremost hiking area stretches along the island's northwestern coast at the mountain range of Sierra Tramontana, where the area between Valldemossa and monastery in Lluc mountain chain in the northern part is the starting point for a lot of different Hiking tracks. I’ve not been walking myself yet, so if you have any tip please let me know!
High season for hiking in Mallorca is during the spring and autumn, but it is possible to go hiking between December and March as well, there are plenty of sunny days in Mallorca also during the winter in Majorca. The summer season may be too hot though, 50 degrees Celsius is not good for anything but staying close to water to be able to cool oneself. Found a Swedish woman who apparently organizes hiking tours in groups, so if you prefer to have some guidance instead of heading out yourself, it might be a good idea to contact her. She, Åsa Johannesson Alomar, came to Mallorca 30 years ago and never went back to sweden, and has during her years here on the Island learned a lot about Majorca and especially where, when and how to hike, check out her webpage for more information. www.personlig-guide-mallorca.com

TUI Marathon in Majorca
Recently the TUI Marathon was held in palma for the fifth time. As usual the weather was great, sunny and hot!
Congratulations to this years winner who was the Spanish guy, Miguel Capó Soller.
More information about the Marathon you can find on Tui Marathon webpage.
As I’m not a marathon-running-type-of-guy I didn’t run but I got these photos of the Cathedral instead.

Drinks to go - Sun Beach Coctails
I recently found a new product made in Mallorca in el Corte Inglés in Palma. A business here on the Island (Fussion Drinks S.L.) has started to make the most classic drinks available in bottles so that you can enjoy them at home or wherever you want. A good alternative to Bacardi Breezer and Smirnoff Ice when you want a sweet drink..
Sun Beach Cocktails includes a line of classics such as Mojito, Cosmopolitan and Daiquiri. A bit more expensive than for example breezer, a bottle of 25 cl at € 2,50 but it is still cheaper than in a bar.
On their webpage www.sunbeachcocktails.com you can see al drinks and whats in them.

Brownies I haven't tried - yet
I was surfing the other day to find a new restaurant in Palma to try but found the place to go for dessert instead. Tarpas, which is situated near el Corte Ingles offers Tapas but seem to be experts on delicious desserts as well. With Brownies, Carrot cakes, Lemon Cakes and much more on the menu they crossed the spanish names tapas and tartas(cakes) and got the name Tarpas. I will try it out for sure, just look at the brownie below!
more information of the restaurant and their menu you'll find on their webpage http://www.tarpas.es/Address: C/ Costa I Llobera 20 Palma.
