This is how easter is celebrated in Palma de Mallorca. NO - it is not kkk! But I must say it looks a bit scary, I'm not sure yet if I will enter the streets of Palma during this fiesta...
By the look in spanish supermarkets it seems that apart from this event on the streets of Palma the spanish people also spend their easter fiesta eating a lot of candy, expecially chocolate!

More information regarding San Sebastian. Below you see a map made by Rafael where you can see time and place for all the Bonfires that are beeing held in Palma de Mallorca during the evening on January 20th. As you can see PLAÇA MAJOR starts earlier and the fire is lit by the Mayor of Palma de Mallorca himself.

San Sebastian
San Sebastian is celebrated in Palma de Mallorca every year on Januari 19 and 20 with a big party on all over town. This year Palma City will spend more than 300 000 € on these days which are best celebrated together with the locals on the streets of Palma de Mallorca.
With open fires and barbecues all you have to do is to bring your food, and if you like music there are several places where you can find Live music.

Plaza Cort: Coverbands
Plaza Major: Mallorquin Folkmusic
Placa des Mercat: Salsa
